As tropical storm Alberto passed through the Tampa area, strong winds and driving rains caused more than flooding and traffic headaches. Around 12:30pm a diverted twin-engine plane inbound to Peter O. Fire crews less than a quarter mile away from the accident scene were alerted by neighbors of the tragedy.
