After neighbors reported the smell and sight of smoke, fire fighters in Mandarin were sent running to the apartment complex, where on
their arrival found moderate smoke pouring from a second story window. Crews entered the home and made a quick knock down of the fire.
Crews were on the scene for about 30 minutes. It was determined the resident had left the home with food still burning on the stove.
